Rapid Aggregated Virtual Asset Development

My acronym began life as simply EAC; short for Electronic Asset Compounding. It's a simple principle based on money compounding (the laws of compounding wealth), and behavior compounding (multiple negative behaviors make a mess of your life while multiple positive behaviors begin to synergistically work in your favor).

The problem was there were WAY too many EACs floating around. So I changed the acronym to DAVA...short for "Developing Aggregated Virtual Assets". This made sense until I discovered dava.org - while intriguing, way way too spiritual for my taste. Marketing online and enlightened Buddhist teachings might sound like the same thing to you. Not to me. I decided to move on.

Then I hit on a really cool combo of letters: RAVAD, short for Rapid Aggregated Virtual Asset Development. Yeah, yeah, it's a bit of a mouthful. So sue me! I liked the play on the whole RAD concept (rapid application development) - a related discipline, and one that far too many online marketers overlook. I also checked out the history of the character string, and found, with delight, a 12th century Jewish mystic of that name (actually 2 of them). Abraham ben Isaac of Narbonne is also known as Ravad II. That was the clincher. Fully HALF of the known world (or more) follows one of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam)....not a bad start towards world domination, right? Besides, what self-respecting businessperson wouldn't want their new acronym associated with a 12th century Jewish mystic? It's PERFECTION!!

Ok, so there it is: RAVAD. Rapid Aggregated Virtual Asset Development. Let's break it down a bit.

The Rapid part is pretty self-explanatory. You don't want this concept to crawl along at a glacial, geologic-timescale pace. You want it to happen FAST.

The Aggregated part is a chewy word. It just means a whole bunch of. With the related sub-meaning of working-together-with, aka synergistic. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Fundamental Logic 101 stuff.

Then we arrive at Virtual. This word has double, triple and quadruple meanings. In RAVAD, it simply refers to something composed of zeros and ones. Binary. An electronic entity. EVERYTHING you see on the Internet is made up of ons (ones) and offs (zeros). Something virtual. It's a bit ephemeral. But that's the beauty of it. You don't have to ship it, hire it, fire it, litigate it, or chase it out of your bar...NONE OF THAT!

Development. Ok, the HARD part. Because you have to DO SOMETHING WITH THE CONCEPT in order for it to mean a hill of beans. You have to TAKE ACTION. That's what development is - GETTING SOMETHING DONE. Even if it's the wrong thing. As long as you're learning something, you are moving forward.
